DESCRIPTION

Terpene resin is a linear polymer obtained by using turpentine as raw material, polymerized under a catalyst, and undergoing processes such as hydrolysis, acidolysis, water washing, filtration and distillation.

According to the effective terpenes in turpentine, it can be divided into: polyα-pinene resin, polyβ-pinene resin, polylimonene resin, other terpene polymers or resins copolymerized with dicyclopentadiene, etc.

Terpene resin is brittle in texture, and its appearance is light yellow transparent solid with glass luster.

Features

Ø Light color, low odor, non-toxic.

Ø Can significantly improve the cohesive strength, adhesion and initial tack of various products.

Ø Stable chemical properties, heat resistance, light resistance, moisture resistance, difficult to be oxidized in the air, no crystallization, good insulation.

Ø Soluble in benzene, chloroform, chlorinated hydrocarbons, ether, petroleum ether, turpentine and other solvents. Insoluble in water and low molecular weight alcohols, acetones.

Ø Good compatibility with many polymers and elastomers such as NR, CR, SBR, EVA, SBS and SIS.

Applications

Ø Applied to polymers such as EVA, SBS and SIS, it can be made into adhesives such as industrial-grade hot-melt adhesives and pressure-sensitive adhesives.

Ø Solvent-based adhesives for SBR rubber, natural rubber and acrylic.

Ø Others are widely used in: high temperature tape, electronic tape, printing ink, coating and other industries.

Packed in compound kraft paper bag, net weight 25kg/piece.

Storage & Transportation

It should be stored in a cool place, avoid high temperature, and should not be stored near fire.

It cannot be stored and transported together with spontaneous combustibles, strong oxidizers, and strong acids, and should be handled according to the regulations for flammable materials.
