DESCRIPTION

Rosin is a natural resin. The raw material of rosin comes from the renewable pine forest resource - rosin in pine trees. From the chemical composition of rosin, it is a solution of resin acid dissolved in terpenes. After the rosin is distilled, a certain fraction is taken to obtain rosin.

Classified according to the production process, the currently mainstream rosins produced in China are: steam-based resin rosin; According to the source of raw materials, the currently mainstream rosin produced in China is: gum rosin. Among them, the sources of rosin are divided into: masson pine rosin, wetland pine rosin, and simao pine rosin.

 

Features

Ø  It has light color, high acid value, easy oxidation, low softening point, good pressure sensitivity and good low temperature resistance.

Ø  Soluble in ethanol, ether, acetone, toluene, carbon disulfide, dichloroethane, turpentine, petroleum ether, gasoline, oils and alkali solutions. Solubility in gasoline is reduced. Insoluble in cold water, slightly soluble in hot water.

Storage & Transportation

It cannot be stored and transported together with spontaneous combustibles, strong oxidizers, and strong acids, and should be handled according to the regulations for flammable materials.
