Maleic resin

OTHER NAME:  Rosin modified maleic anhydride resin

DESCRIPTION

       Maleic acid resin is a light yellow transparent solid obtained by using gum rosin as raw material, adding maleic anhydride, and esterifying with glycerol or pentaerythritol.

422# is produced by the addition reaction of rosin and maleic anhydride and esterification of glycerin;

424# is produced by the addition reaction of rosin and maleic anhydride and the esterification of pentaerythritol.

Features

Ø  It has good miscibility with vegetable oils, easily soluble in aromatic hydrocarbon solvents, esters, ketones, turpentine, chlorinated hydrocarbons, etc., partially soluble in petroleum solvents, and insoluble in water and alcohol solvents.

Ø  Light color, high softening point, excellent anti-aging properties, strong light resistance, not easy to yellow, and strong adhesion.

Ø  It has good compatibility with nitrocellulose, and the paint film produced has high strength, high hardness, excellent brightness, polishability and fullness.

Applications

Ø  Used in EVA, SBR rubber, natural rubber, acrylic and other adhesives.

Ø  Used in polyester paint, nitrocellulose paint, polyurethane paint, phenolic paint and road marking paint.

Ø  Used in gravure printing inks.

Packed in compound kraft paper bag, net weight 25kg/piece.

Storage & Transportation

It should be stored in a cool place, avoid high temperature, and should not be stored near fire.

It cannot be stored and transported together with spontaneous combustibles, strong oxidizers, and strong acids, and should be handled according to the regulations for flammable materials.
