Butyl phenol formaldehyde resin 7522
OTHER NAME: Phenolic resin
DESCRIPTION
Phenolic resin 7522 is a thermosetting butylphenol-formaldehyde resin, mainly used in solvent-based and neoprene rubber adhesives, and is suitable for press-fit adhesive formulation systems. Phenolic Resin 7522 gives the adhesive a lighter color. Adhesives using it show good bonding strength under high temperature and room temperature conditions.
Features
Ø Soluble in aromatic solvents, fatty solvents, ketones, esters, partially soluble in ethane and heptane, but insoluble in water.
Ø It has light color, low viscosity, small initial tack, good tack-holding effect, strong cohesion, and excellent anti-aging properties.
Ø It has good compatibility with NR, CR, SBR and other polymers and elastomers.
